In addition to the smartphone, tablets are becoming increasingly important. We present five devices that are not only cheap, but also suitable for everyday use.
As practical as cell phones are, they all have one disadvantage: their small display. At the latest when you have to write a longer e-mail, maintain your social networks or just want to read a few pages in your favorite book, a large screen is far more pleasant for the eyes. This is where tablets come into play: they have a much larger display than ordinary smartphones and are just as suitable for writing, surfing, reading and playing. Unless you have too high technical demands on the PC replacement, a tablet costs less than 100 euros. Today we present three of them to you.
1. Lenovo Tab10
The Lenovo Tab10 has a ten-inch HD display. The tablet is not particularly fast with one gigabyte of RAM, but the battery lasts up to ten hours. This is sometimes due to the Android 8.0 Oreo Go operating system – a stripped-down version that uses less computing power than the normal Android operating system. The tablet gets another plus for less than 100 euros for its family-friendly use: If your children want to use the device, you can create different profiles and customize them.
Technical details:
- 10 inch HD display
- Quad-core processor (1.3 GHz)
- RAM: 1 GB RAM
- Storage capacity: 16 GB
- Connectivity: Bluetooth
- Battery life: up to 10 hours, 7000 mAh
- Scope of delivery: Lenovo Tab 10, power adapter, USB cable
2. Amazon Fire HD 8
The display is a bit smaller than the Lenovo Tab10, but the battery life is the same. The Amazon Fire HD 8 scores with its internal storage capacity, which has only 16 gigabytes, but can be expanded to up to 400 gigabytes by the integrated microSD card slot for an additional charge. Also to be highlighted is the display, which can keep up with expensive models in terms of contrast and brightness. The only downside is the charging time of the tablet: With about five hours you need a long breath.
Technical details:
- 8 inch HD display
- Storage capacity: 16 GB
- RAM: 1.5 GB RAM
- Battery life: up to 10 hours
- 2 MP front camera and 2 MP rear camera
- Quad-core processor (1.3 GHz)
3. Huawei Mediapad T3
This is an even smaller device than the two predecessors, but the Huawei Mediapad T3 can keep up with the competition. Due to its low resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels, the tablet is not so well suited for gaming and viewing photos, but it is always suitable for writing or reading. The eight gigabyte internal memory can be expanded to up to 128 gigabytes, and the Chinese manufacturer Huawei also offers a battery life of almost seven hours. Still a solid performance for a tablet under 100 euros.
Technical details:
- 7 inch IPS display
- Storage capacity: 8 GB
- RAM: 1 GB RAM
- Battery life: approx. 7 hours
- Dual band WiFi with 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz
- Quad-core processor (1.3 GHz)
4. Amazon Fire 7
The model is a bit older, more precisely it was launched in 2017, but the tablet still knows how to convince – like with its up to eight hours of battery life. Even if the quad-core processor is not the fastest and the resolution (1024 by 600 pixels) is quite low, the 16 gigabyte internal memory can be expanded by up to 512 gigybytes, for example. All you need is a microSD card. All in all, the Amazon Fire 7 is certainly not the quickest model, but one of the cheapest.
Technical details:
- 7-inch IPS display
- 16 or 32 GB internal storage space
- Quad-core processor with 1.3 GHz
- 1 GB RAM
- 2 MP rear camera
- 720p HD front camera
5. ibowin 10.1
This model is not a pure tablet, but also a 3G phone with two SIM card slots – for this reason, a SIM card adapter is included in the scope of delivery. With a better resolution (1280 by 800 pixels) and also a faster processor (1.5 GHz) than the Fire 7, the ibowin 10.1 is a little more expensive, but it also has the same size display as the Lenovo Tab10 – and that’s what it is for it is still quite cheap for a tablet of this size.
Technical details:
- 10 inch display
- 1.5 GHz quad-core processor
- 2 GB RAM
- 32 GB internal storage
